Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year at Roosevelt Elementary

“Believe in your magic. Achieve your dreams. Shine for the world to see!”

Dear Roosevelt Elementary Families,

It is with great pride and anticipation that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Roosevelt Elementary! Each new year brings a fresh start filled with promise, and this year is no different. With our new school theme, “A Magical Year of Learning,” we are setting the stage for an exciting journey where imagination and academic excellence go hand in hand. Throughout our hallways, classrooms, and beyond, our scholars will be encouraged to explore, create, and believe in the power of their own potential. We want every student to know that they carry something truly magical within them—and that Roosevelt Elementary is the place where that magic is nurtured, celebrated, and brought to life.

As we continue our mission to provide a high-quality education for every student, I am thrilled to announce the expansion of our Pre-Kindergarten program. This important step allows us to serve even more of our youngest Bears and provide them with a solid foundation in early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. Our expanded Pre-K classrooms will be welcoming, engaging, and developmentally responsive, creating a space where young learners can build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning from the very beginning. We know that investing in early education pays lifelong dividends, and we are proud to offer this opportunity to more families in our community.

At Roosevelt Elementary, we understand that a school’s strength is rooted in the bonds between its staff, students, families, and community partners. Our school continues to thrive because of the unwavering support and collaboration we share with our families and surrounding community. Whether through volunteering, attending events, or working with us to support student achievement, our Roosevelt families play a vital role in the success of our campus. We are committed to maintaining strong communication, fostering trust, and building meaningful relationships that benefit every child we serve.

This year, we will see a continued focus on academic growth, student leadership, social-emotional development, and joyful learning experiences that bring our school community together. Our talented teachers and staff are already hard at work preparing engaging lessons, welcoming classrooms, and memorable experiences for all students. We believe in setting high expectations—and providing the guidance, encouragement, and love our Bears need to reach them.

Thank you for choosing Roosevelt Elementary. Thank you for trusting us with your children. Together, we are building something truly special—a magical place where students are inspired to learn, encouraged to grow, and empowered to dream big.

With Bear Pride,

Dr. Gaylon C. Davenport
